  • Sun, March 25, Good Deeds Day. The Greater Washington’s Jewish community will join together with thousands of volunteers locally and from around the world in a variety of hands-on volunteer projects where we can roll up our sleeves and make an impact. Please mark this important day on your congregation’s calendar.   • March 25, 7:15 pm, Community Wide AJIRI Event This event is to support the American Jewish International Relations Institute (AJIRI), whose mission is to educate the public on the UN’s program to delegitimize Israel, and how that program can be brought to an end. See the website www.ajiri.us for more information about AJIRI. The event will be held at Ohr Kodesh Congregation, Silver Spring, Maryland. The program will feature, Senator Ben Cardin, U.S. Senator from Maryland, Ambassador Ron Prosor, Israel’s Permanent Representative to the UN and will Honor Ambassador Marlene Moses, from the Pacific Island State of Nauru, for her support for Israel within the UN.  A dessert reception will follow.
