Yom HaShoah
Our annual Yom HaShoah commemoration includes a special service and exhibition, offering congregants whose families were directly affected by the Holocaust, and recent b’nai mitzvot teens who “twinned” with children who were killed before becoming old enough to become b’nai mitzvah, the opportunity to share information and remembrances about those who perished, the survivors and Righteous Gentiles with all congregational families. Our Men’s Club also distributes to all members, yellow Yom HaShoah Candles, to be lit in memory of those who perished.

Membership Outreach Programs & Events
Har Shalom's Membership Outreach programs include DEN (Dynamic Empty Nesters), our Young Families Group, and Young Couples Group. There are also Friday evening Barechu and Barbecue events, our Back-to-Shul and End-of-Year picnics, progressive dinners and family erev Shabbat dinners at Har Shalom.

Social Action
Har Shalom members take a hands-on approach to social action, rallying in support of Israel and against genocide in Darfur, collecting money for Mazon, food for Manna Food Center, hosting our annual Mitzvah Day and several mini-mitzvah days during the year, sponsoring the Har Shalom Volunteer Fair, and offering many other opportunities for Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and Gemilut Hasadim (deeds of loving kindness).

Sisterhood
Sisterhood offers opportunities for social, spiritual, educational and social action programming for women of all ages, including monthly women's Rosh Hodesh services, monthly day and evening book discussions, films, and our annual Mind, Body and Soul Day. Sisterhood's Z'havah group, which welcomes women in their 30's, 40's and early 50's, hosts Couples Nights Out, monthly Reading, Screening and Eating programs and an annual Day of Pampering.
