Men’s Club Shabbat
Volunteers and Participants Needed
It’s time for our Annual Men’s Club Shabbat. Spring will be beginning and we very much hope you will want to be involved.
So why is this Shabbat is different from all other Shabbats? Because, of course, our Men’s Club members (and others of the male persuasion) take over the entire service – from the Morning Blessings to Kiddush, and everything in between – and, incidentally we provide our honored clergy with one day less that they have to prepare for.
This means that there’s an opportunity for you to do a mitzvah by reading the Torah, or opening the Ark, or doing any one of another things that might interest you. There are prayer readings in English or Hebrew, a chance to lift the Torah etc. – all done in a spirit of camaraderie and fun.
To volunteer for a part – large or small – please check with Mickey Burstein or Simon Babil. They need you and we need you!
Or if you prefer to just cheer us on, just come for services on Shabbat, March 25th Meet some of our Men’s Club members, and stay for a tasty Kiddush lunch put on with help from our great friends from the Sisterhood. Please join us. You’ll be glad you did.
