Join Rabbi Raskin for a special Confirmation program that takes a dive deep into Israel!  Topics will include:

• The essential importance of the Land of Israel to Jewish peoplehood and identity
• Different approaches to Zionism (political, cultural, religious, etc.), and the movement to create a Jewish state long before the advent of the Shoah
• Exploring creation of the State of Israel and understanding its various wars and their consequences
• Decoding the various Arab players in the region: Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, Fatah, the Palestinian Authority, etc.
• An introduction to the Israeli political system, its factions and ideologies
• Historic and Modern attempts to create peace, including the Camp David Accords, Oslo, Two State vs. One State solutions, Eretz Le’Kulam (Two States One Homeland), etc.
• How to be an advocate for progress
