Raskin Extension

Dear Har Shalom friends, 

I am excited to share an update that will have an indelible impact on the strength and longevity of our community. 

Earlier this week, the Board of Directors unanimously approved a 15-year contract extension for our Senior Rabbi, Adam Raskin. The term of this contract is July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2040. 

Since joining Congregation Har Shalom in 2011, Rabbi Raskin has held our babies, our hands, and our hearts through joyous celebrations, painful passages, and challenging moments. Alongside a dedicated and talented professional staff, he has prioritized building and deepening relationships within our community and beyond our walls. Walk through our doors and it’s clear, members and families of all ages are welcome and Har Shalom feels like a home. This is due, in large part, to Rabbi Raskin’s warmth and dedication to our shul. 

This commitment affirms the confidence and trust we have in Rabbi Raskin as our teacher and spiritual leader – and will allow Har Shalom to move confidently into the future with strong, stable leadership. Moreover, this agreement powerfully demonstrates how important Congregation Har Shalom is to the Raskin family.
