    Gan Shabbat

    Join Morah Beth Hoch, Director of the Early Childhood Education for a service that is uniquely designed to bring songs, stories and prayers together to create a welcoming, spirited, developmentally appropriate Shabbat service. It is an opportunity for the whole family to sing, learn Torah stories, and meet friends. They will lead songs during Gan Shabbat and be called up at the end of the congregational service. Come for the fun and stay for Kiddush lunch.

    Come out to the ballgame for The Jewish Federation’s Grand Slam Sunday: Jewish Community Day at Nationals Park on August 19 when the Washington Nationals take on the Miami Marlins. Join more than 1,500 Jewish community members for this annual, end-of-summer celebration, highlighting our city’s love of baseball, the Nationals and the Jewish community. Activities and fun for all ages Will begin at 11:30 a.m., two hours before the game.
