Carly Litwok joined our team in 2015. Shortly thereafter, she became an integral part of the synagogue’s programming and operations. Carly stepped in as the Interim Director of the Sherman Early Childhood Center. Over the years she has served as the Membership Coordinator, Director of Membership Engagement, and Assistant Executive Director, with primary responsibilities for membership recruitment and retention. As Executive Director, Carly oversees the daily operations and finances of Har Shalom and the various duties that expand across all congregational activities. Most important, she has been a liaison between our members, staff and the community as a caring and trustworthy source.
Carly graduated from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Psychology and a Minor in Business and with an M.A. in Education from Michigan State University.
She currently serves on the Membership Committee for the North American Association of Synagogue Executives (NAASE).
Carly, a Bethesda native, currently lives in Potomac with her husband Danny and five year old daughter Shai and two year old daughter Maya.
