Father Mark Michael is a native of rural Western Maryland, and has served as rector of St. Francis Episcopal Church since 2016. He is a graduate of Duke University and Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. Prior to moving to Potomac, Father Mark served parishes in Virginia, New York, and Maryland, was a school chaplain and history teacher. In addition to his parish ministry, he is editor of The Living Church, a historic magazine that serves the people of the wider Anglican Christian community. He and his wife, the Rev. Dr. Allison Michael, have two sons and a dog.

Imam Refai Arefin is the Imam at ICCP. He served in Connecticut as Imam of the Islamic Association of Greater Hartford for the past 8 years, in addition to performing duties as the Deputy Chaplain of the Connecticut State Legislature. He has wide exposure to Islamic law and sharia education, and has followed courses at and been associated with the Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Al-Balqaa’ University in Amman, and studied under various scholars in Fez and Damascus.
