Virtual Israel Tour
Sunday, February 28, 2021 • 16 Adar 5781
11:00 AMLIVE Online Walking and Talking Tour of the Old City of Jerusalem with Israel Tour Guide extraordinaire Patrick Amar. We will be led from Mamilla Mall, through Jaffa Gate, to the Western Wall. So grab a cup of coffee...and spend Sunday morning (evening!) in Israel.
Patrick Amar is originally from Montreal, Canada and grew up in a traditional Moroccan-Sephardic home. He served as a Pro-Israel student activist with Hillel while studying Political Science at Concordia University in Montreal, one of the more notorious campuses for its amount of Anti-Israel activism. Because of his experiences on campus and educational trips to Israel (he was on the first Birthright trip) he moved to New York City in 2003 to help establish the national office of Hasbara Fellowships, a program of Aish Hatorah which trains and supports Jewish college students in their fight to support Israel across North America. He has staffed dozens of missions to Israel, including Birthright, Hasbara Fellowships, the Jerusalem Fellowships, the Jewish Women's Renaisance Project and HonestReporting missions. Since making Aliyah to Israel in 2006, he studied at Yeshiva Aish Hatorah and completed the grueling 2 year tour guide course. Patrick lived in the Old City of Jerusalem with his wife Julie and their children for 8 years until outgrowing their tiny apartment and moving to Ramot, a suburb of Jerusalem. Patrick is a licensed Israeli tour guide. He also operates his own tour company in Israel which focuses mainly on family trips to Israel.
