Sephardic Cooking with Estrella  Levy

Preparing a Sephardic meal shouldn't feel like a foreign language nor does it require a culinary degree. In this fun-filled session, our own congregant and caterer Estrella Levy will demystify the differences between Sephardic & Ashkenazi traditions and take you on a tour of food, tradition and culture. With a special focus on the traditional Sephardic Shabbat and Pesach meals, you’ll experience some of the love and enthusiasm Estrella experienced growing up while cooking with her mom and aunts. She’ll show you tips, tricks and valuable lessons that will help you add a special twist to your cooking that will delight your family at meal time. At the end of class, you’ll have the opportunity to sample a traditional Sephardic Charoset recipe that she will also make available for purchase.
