Sisterhood Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
Wednesday, May 23, 2018 • 9 Sivan 5778
6:00 PM - 9:00 PMSocial HallJoin us for a wonderful evening when Kara Blond, who celebrated becoming a Bat Mitzvah at Har Shalom back in 1988 and whose parents, Rozi and Roger are Congregation members, joins us, (all grown up!) as Executive Director of the Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington.
Kara will discuss the role that Jewish life has had as an influence on our nation and capital, and how Jewish Washington has been key in the involvement of social movements and the Federal Government.
This is an appreciation dinner honoring all who volunteer their time and energy toward projects and whose purposeful activities benefit and enrich others. All Sisterhood members are invited to attend to acknowledge our volunteers’ endeavors, and to hear Kara Blond talk about how Jewish life has shaped our nation’s capital.
