We may think that opioid addiction and overdose is a problem that only other communities are experiencing, but the reality is that six people die every day from this crisis, right here in Maryland. 

In 2016, 2,100 people overdosed in our state; 162 of them lived in Montgomery County. Peace Mountain Theatre Company is paying close attention, and we want to do something about it. Join us for an educational and awareness-raising event, featuring: • A Performance of The Empty Chair, • Followed by a panel of experts, and • A Q&A session with the audience It’s a unique opportunity to ask questions, get answers and share and disseminate knowledge in a safe, respectful environment. The material is appropriate for young teens and up.
